It's A Start, But Nowhere Near Enough!
The good: Maybe these crooks are finally starting to get the message that their complete disregard for the financial crisis and its effects on the good people of this country will no longer be tolerated.
The bad: Neither one of the two companies were planning to cancel these over-the-top retreats, even after the outrage over AIG's first retreat, until the pressure become to great. This is just a start, but maybe if we all hold on to this outrage and continue putting pressure on these two companies, and others like them, we can put an end to these abuses. As long as we, the taxpayers, are going to be responsible for bailing these companies out after their extremely poor mis-management we will demand that extravagant, excessive and needless "spoil ourselves at others' expense" retreats like these will no longer be tolerated.
